It is with great sadness that I tell you that due to personal reasons and a heavy workload that Lena has decided to leave our design team :(

Lena, as you all know, makes the most stunning cards and gift items, and we will miss seeing her awesome work each week,
Tomorrow's challenge will be her last DT work for us, but I can tell you, it is another beauty!

It may be her last DT card, but we hope that Lena will join in as a challenger now and then when she has the time to do so.

We say bye bye to Ria

Sad news for sketch saturday :(
Ria has decided to leave our design team, I know it was a difficult decision for her to make and she will be greatly missed from the team.
Ria joined the design team from the beginning, so she has been inspiring you with her beautiful cards using our sketches for 2 years now,
I'm pleased to say that she isn't giving up crafting altogether, so you will still be able to see her fab work on her blog.
Ria, Thank you so much for all you've done for SS these past 2 years.
We'll miss you, and wish you all the very best.

We are delighted to announce that we have 2 new Design Team members! :)

Jill Sharp (Jilli) has been a regular challenger to this blog, and produces the most adorable and amusing cards, we are very much looking forward to seeing her DT work for us.

Lena Katrine as some of you may have noticed, was our guest designer in March this year. Lena not only makes stunning cards, but she also makes spectacular boxes, bags and gifts as well as layouts, so we are all in for a treat to see how she interprets the sketches into those :)

Welcome to...... Emma!

We have a new design team member! :)

We are very happy to announce that Emma Lockley has agreed to join our design team.
Emma was very close to joining our little family at the recent DT call, so rather than sending out another DT call for one member so soon after the last one, we decided it would be better to offer the position to the person who was closest last time...... which was Emma!

Emma has set to work straight away and has created a stunning card for tomorrows challenge, so please pop back tomorrow to see her gorgeous work and to snag the sketch for your own wonderful creation!

Another sad day for Sketch Saturday :(

I'm very sad today, now that I need to tell you all that Sandra has decided to leave our design team :(
Sandra has thought long and hard about this decision and although she doesn't want to leave us, she feels she must as she is a very busy Mum and now that her 2 youngest have started school, she is a lot more busier than she realised, and of course her children are her priority, we all understand this.
She chose to let me know while we are selecting the new DT line-up as it will be easier to choose one extra DT member at this time, even though I decided to choose 2 extra members instead, as the entries are so excellent!
I asked Sandra to help us choose the new DT members, which she agreed to do, and I very much appreciate this, as it's a tough job!

This coming Saturday's challenge (#70) will be Sandra's last DT card for Sketch Saturday :(
We were all very sorry to hear that Sandra is leaving, but she has promised to keep in touch, and will take part in our challenges when she can. She will be eligible to win the prizes now too! :)

Sandra... we will all miss you terribly, THANK YOU for everything you have done which has made Sketch Saturday as popular as it is today.

We're looking for new DT members!!

The deadline has now passed, thank you all SO MUCH for your entries, choosing is going to be tough!
Hopefully, by Friday (18th) we will have a list of the 12 people chosen to make another card for us, please watch this space! :)

Would you like to be a member of our Design Team?
You would?.... Great!..... here's what we'd like you to do...

Please make a card using the following sketch

This DT call will run in 2 parts.

The first part will be to make a card as stated above, you can use any theme / colours / extra embellishments too if you like, but we must see the sketch in your design, even if you have rotated the sketch, that's fine too, but the whole sketch must be rotated, not just certain elements of it.
Then we, the design team, will choose our favourites and whittle you down to just 12 entrants.
The lucky 12 will go through to the second part, and I will let you know what to do at the time so as not to cause confusion now.

So if you want to join our little family, please submit your entry for the first part of this DT call by 8.00 pm (UK time) Monday 14th September.

Only ONE entry per applicant please, if you submit more than 1 then we will take your first comment/card as your entry, no exceptions, sorry.

All entries MUST have a direct, clickable link to the card itself (not just your blog), and be under this post, not on any other post.

As a DT member, we will require you to have a blog & to make a card every week using the sketches provided each week, although we do understand if real-life prevents you from doing this from time to time.

A sad day for Sketch Saturday :(

It is with great sadness that I now tell you all that Mariska has decided to leave our design team :(
This was not an easy decision for Mariska to make, she has thought about this very much over the last few weeks, but finally decided to leave the design team because of other commitments, as well as looking after her lovely children.
Mariska, as you all know, makes the most stunningly beautiful cards, but has had little spare time to enjoy her passion for crafting lately, especially to a weekly challenge blog like ours.

Mariska will be greatly missed as part of our little family, she will always be a dear friend to each of us on the DT, and will, of course, keep in touch with us, and even take part in our challenges when she has the time to.

Mariska... a HUGE THANK YOU for your inspiration, kindness, support, wonderful creations and most of all your friendship, Sketch Saturday most definately is a success because of your contribution and lovely work.

Thank you so much for your sweet comments and of course my buddies for their sweet words!! I've had so much fun both working with the incredible girls on the team as in the contact with so many wonderful participants. But I'm not going to miss you all since we are all going to stay in touch anyway :). Not dropping of the face of the earth, just taking it a bit down on the crafting.

Girlies on the team, I wish you all the best, I'm going to enjoy looking at your gorgeous creations each week as I always have. And you know you are the best right and I don't only mean in crafting!

We have a Design Team!

Wooohoooooo!
Such a hard decision to make, I originally thought i'd choose 4 DT members, and ended up offering the position to 10 of you!
I have enjoyed visiting your blogs, seeing your work, I've looked at your blogs as a whole not just the DT submissions.
I have reams of paper here with all your names on and notes about your work, I then managed to whittle it down to ooo must have been about 30 or so of you!
so I called in the help of my kids and my friends, who wrote out their list of faves too, I then combined all the lists and noted down the 10 most popular.
And the DT was born! ;)
I have notified those chosen and am waiting for them all to reply.
I'd like to thank each and everyone of you for submitting your entries, I'm so sorry that I couldn't choose you all.
