Ok, this week is sketch #14, I didn't expect the design team to have any examples for this week, but they have jumped right into the challenge and have submitted fantastic work, (thank you ladies!)

Here is Sketch #14...

And here are the fabulous examples by the DT, please check out their blogs from the links in the sidebar for more pictures and info about their work, and to see what else they have been upto!...

We have a Design Team!

Wooohoooooo!
Such a hard decision to make, I originally thought i'd choose 4 DT members, and ended up offering the position to 10 of you!
I have enjoyed visiting your blogs, seeing your work, I've looked at your blogs as a whole not just the DT submissions.
I have reams of paper here with all your names on and notes about your work, I then managed to whittle it down to ooo must have been about 30 or so of you!
so I called in the help of my kids and my friends, who wrote out their list of faves too, I then combined all the lists and noted down the 10 most popular.
And the DT was born! ;)
I have notified those chosen and am waiting for them all to reply.
I'd like to thank each and everyone of you for submitting your entries, I'm so sorry that I couldn't choose you all.

So, without further ado, please say hello to the Sketch Saturday design team!

and of course me...

So looking forward to working with you all xx

Thank you!

WOW!! the response to the DT call has been amaaaaazing!! You are all so talented and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for working so hard submitting your work. I wish all of you could be DT members ;)
I have the hard task of choosing whose name will be on the sidebar over there >>>>>>>>>>
To make it easier to choose my 3 kids are going to help, they have been so impressed by what they have seen so far.

The deadline for submitting your photos has been extended to 10am (GMT) tomorrow (Friday)
There will be no further extensions, sorry, but I need time to visit and make my final descision, I then need to email the DT and arrange them to see the sketches so that they can get to work.
Any requests/submissions after 10am tomorrow will automatically be void for the DT but I will of course visit your blog to see what you have done, sorry if that sounds harsh but I hope you understand.
Thank you and good luck everyone!

Sketch #13 - 23rd August - also DT members wanted!

Hi everyone!
I've decided to send out a call for design team members, probably 4 (but may be more) from all over blogland, the reason being, I thought it would be nice for you all to see different takes on the same sketch posted next to each other on this blog, at the moment you only get to see my efforts, unless you blog hop of course, which I know a lot of you do ;)
This blog was originally set up as a place for me to publish my sketches, to motivate the mojo whenever I got stuck for ideas, and hopefully by blogging them others could use them too, well there are more of you taking part each week (THANK YOU!xx) so i'm pleased that the sketches are useful to all of you too :)

As this is a sketch blog, obviously each week the challenge is a new sketch, occasionally I may add additional requests (eg. only black and white, add buttons, ribbon etc) so as a member of the design team, all I ask is that you will be able to make an example to show on this blog alongside the other DT (you will be able to see the sketches in advance of course)

Also if you would like to design a sketch yourself then that would be great as the first saturday of each month (starting october 4th) will be "DT week" where one of you will host that weeks sketch so everyone can use your sketch for inspiration ;)

If you would like to be considered for a DT position then this is what i'd like you to do please...

1. Make TWO projects, (cards, layouts, ATCs, inchies, anything at all) using this weeks sketch (#13).
2. One of the projects that you make must have a Christmas theme, the other can be of any theme you like as long as the same sketch is used.
3. Leave a comment under this post linking to your work/blog, and at the end of your comment clearly type the letters "DT" so that I know that you are interested.
4. DT applicants ONLY... please submit your work by 11pm UK time this Thursday (28th) this is so that I have time to visit your blogs.

DT members will be chosen and notified on Friday, and their names will be announced on this blog next Saturday (30th August).

PLEASE NOTE: Only those with "DT" at the end of their comment will be considered, and are asked to make 2 projects instead of 1 and to also submit their work by 11pm Thursday.

Those of you who do not wish to be considered for the DT but would just like to use the sketch anyway as normal, then of course please do so :)

Here is sketch #13, I'm looking forward to seeing your work! ;)

Here are my 2 cards, the first uses Provo craft Bitty Scrap pad paper the collection is called 'windswept', and the image is by Penny Black and I think its called 'ups down mouse' but i'm not sure, I only have the image not the stamp. The sentiment is a vertical one from Stamps Away which I stamped then separated the words. I rotated parts of the sketch as you can see.
Both the Stamps Away sentiment and the Provo craft paper pad were bought from Sassy Crafts.

This one uses Dovecraft Christmas paper, the image is from a set of teddys I bought from eBid, I used my swiss dots folder on the horizontal band and used a heart border punch on the red piece, The flower was put together using scraps of the swiss dots paper, 3 gold brads and a flower from my stash.

Looking forward to seeing your work!

Sketch #12 - 16th August

Thank you to everyone who joined in last week, I do enjoy looking at all your wonderful work, and try to visit each and every one of you, so I do apologise if I do miss anybody out, it certainly isn't intentional.

Here is sketch #12, I hope you like it!

and here is my card... I have used Dovecraft 'Christmas Blues' papers and the image is 'Snowflurry Tilda' coloured with watercolour pencils.
That's one christmas card done, only another errrrrr 40 or so to go!!

Let's see your fabulous creations... happy crafting!

Sketch #11 - 9th August

Hello everyone! WOW! what a response to last weeks sketch!! Thank you all so much for taking part, I have numbered you all in order of you posting a comment on here (only counted each of you once!) and I used randomizer.org to select a winner of the stamps away montage sets,

and the winner is........... Becky!

Congratulations Becky! xx
Please email me your details so that I can post the stamp sets to you ;)
Hope you like them!

Ok! onto this weeks sketch...

sketch #11

Here is my card, I have used paper cellar papers from their 'wedding' pad, I also used gold vellum that I embossed with my new swiss dots folder (thanks to Ann for reminding me that I needed it, I love it Ann, a craft essential eh?)
The cute fairy image is one that was sent to me a couple of years ago by a friend (yes a couple of years!!, I had loads of them stamped for me and haven't used them all yet) I cannot recall if my friend told me what the name of the stamp she used is, but if any of you know where this fairy came from please leave a message, as i'd love to know.
I coloured her wings with a sakura clear glitter gel pen.
The image doesn't have all of the leaves shown, I drew and coloured a few extra (the ones down the left edge) so that the image didn't get 'lost' on the card.

okidoki, hope you like the sketch, i'd love to see what you do with it :)

Sketch #10 - 2nd August...and there's a prize this week!

Thank you to everyone who took part in last weeks sketch challenge, infact, thank you to everyone who has taken part over the last 9 weeks :)
So I thought it would be nice to give a prize to one lucky person who makes a card, layout, ATC, inchy, or whatever you would like to make, only rule is you must use sketch #10, see? easy peasy to enter innit? ;)
And here is what you could win... TWO sets of Stamps Away montage stamps with a RRP of £3.79 each! One has a seaside theme, the other flowers and leaves.

Stamps Away are a range of Clear Self Adhesive stamps. Supplied packaged on a printed clear sheet for easy storage, simply peel off and place on an acrylic block and you are ready to stamp.
These montage sets are small individual stamps which you use to build up a design of your choosing (I have a snowflake set of montage stamps which I used to create a circular border on this card.)

The deadline for entries is 11pm (uk time) on Friday 8th August.
A winner will be chosen and their name posted on this blog next Saturday when I put up sketch #11

So here it is, sketch #10...

And here is my card using the sketch, the patterned cardstock is Chatterbox violet parlor roses, the scalloped border was made using lots of small circle punchouts, the sentiment and alphabet letters are from Stamps Away, and the gorgeous, cute bunnys are from Bootiful Stampz, this one is Bunny Pocket.

Good luck everyone...let's see your entries! ;)
