Week #31 -27th December - Your Choice!

Hello Everyone......... Surprise!!
Didn't expect to see a new post this week did you?

I do hope that you are all well & happy, and have everything that you hoped for.

Did Santa, leave you some craft stash in your stocking? ;)

Just incase there are some of you who are itching to try out your new craft goodies, then this week is for you ;)
This week is your choice!
I know some of you look forward to seeing a new sketch here each week, and that you don't like to miss a sketch, so I decided to let you choose the sketch that you liked the most from the last 30 weeks. That way, you won't miss a sketch because there isn't a new one this week to miss!

It will be interesting to see if there's a sketch which is the most popular with you all, or if there will be a mixed bag of your favourites.
Don't forget to tell me what sketch you used! ;)

Only new work though please, because one of you taking part this week will receive this DCWV 'Thank You' Card Kit from me.
which could come in handy for letting people know how much you appreciated the gift that they gave you this year eh? This kit can make 20 cards!

There are no DT examples this week, the girls are taking a week off, and they soooo deserve it!

So it's wave goodbye to 2008....

On a personal note, I'd like to thank my friends, the totally brilliant design team for their continued support and outstanding work that they give each week, you are all amazing xx

From the team as a whole, we'd like to thank each of the sponsors and of course we'd like to thank you, the challengers, for making Sketch Saturday all worthwhile.

On behalf of the whole of the design team, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

If you are going out partying on Wednesday night, I hope you all have a fantastic time, but please above all...... stay safe!

We look forward to your continued support in 2009!

Jo xx

P.S. Remember, next week (#32) is DT week! and there's a fantastic sketch to start the new year :)

Sketch #28 - December 6th 2008

Hello everyone!

It's Saturday and so it's time for another Sketch! Following Gill and Coco now it's my turn to give Jo a week off :). My name is Mariska and I live in the Netherlands with my darling husband and my two daughters who are eight months and four years old. I've been scrapping since my oldest was born but stamping and card making is something I have only started with this last year. I am so proud to be part of this amazing Design Team that Jo created. It's been a lot of fun making cards with Jo's amazing sketches and seeing what you guys create with them. We all really appreciate all of you taking part in our challenges each week. It wouldn't be quit as much fun without you guys!

And now a new challenge.... making a Sketch :). It is my first sketch and I hope you like it enough to participate but to motivate you just a little bit more I have some really good news! Melissa, owner of Pink Cat Studio has kindly donated this amazing stamp set for one lucky participant!!
Don't you love them? They are Billy and Lily and this is the new Winter Plate. Lily and Billy are two of my personal favourite stamp characters. They also come as dress up stamps with all these cute accessoiries and feature in other stamp sets Melissa has created. And if that's not enough Melissa has also created a lot of other lovely characters who are an absolute must have. I could go on and on but you'll just have to go to her store and check it out for yourselves! You won't be disappointed!

Well, on with the sketch

Of course like every week you can rotate it and the shapes can be altered to other shapes, so you don't have to work with an oval if you don't have anything to cut one. Also if you prefer to work with a square card just transform the sketch into a square. All as long as we can see the sketch in it. You can create what you like with it, a card, an ATC, you name it, just have fun. Here is what the girls from the Design Team came up with:

EMMA

JO

JEANETTE

GILL

MANDY

DEBBIE

TRACIE

COCO

RIA

MARISKA

SANDRA

Don't you love these? Hope they inspire you and can't wait to see what you come up with. Have fun!!!
