We have an award!

A HUGE THANK YOU to Claire Mackaness, she has given Sketch Saturday this wonderful award, along with some other of her favourite challenge blogs. I'm sure that the other blogs will be as delighted and honoured as we are.

Here is what Claire says on her blog ...

"You are all so good at coming up with ideas, your challenges make card making even more fun than usual and often get my mind thinking of things that are a bit out of my comfort zone which end up turning out as fab makes!"

We're so happy to hear comments like this! this is exactly what Sketch Saturday was started for, to make cardmaking fun and inspiring, one good thing about sketches, you can go back through the weeks and have a whole array of different ones to choose from. They can suit all occasions too because YOU make the design work for your theme.

Thank you Claire! thank you to our amazing Sketch Saturday design team, and thank you to all of you, the challengers, who make each week and each sketch worthwhile.

Happy Crafting!

Sorry!

I've been AWOL for a few days, not just my emails but the whole of my internet!
It is still hit & miss while the exchange is being repaired, but hopefully it will be all better soon.
A huge THANK YOU to Emma for stepping in and posting this weeks challenge xx
You'd think that having no internet at all would mean more crafting time eh?
wrong! Hubby & I have been boarding out the attic so we can get more junk belongings up there and out of the way (means more room in the house itself for craft stash, lol, see? there's a method in my madness!)
so unfortunately I didn't have time to make a card for this week *sorry team!*

Remember that this saturday (1st November) is DT week! wonder whose week it will be this week eh? you'll have to come back on Saturday to find out! ;)

Happy crafting everyone!

Sketch #20 - 11th October

Hello everyone!
Can I just thank each and every one of you for joining in last week, Gill's sketch was fantastic wasn't it? I noticed that you all thought so too ;)
Don't forget to pop back later to find out who has won the oh so beautiful Whiff of Joy stamp!

By the way, the next DT week will be on Saturday 1st November... but you'll have to wait to find out who is hosting the sketch for that week! ;)

Ok, onto this week, sketch #20... I hope that you all enjoy working with this sketch, can I just say though, please don't be worried about the oval shape, if you haven't an oval cutter then you can of course substitute the oval for a circle or a rectangle etc, the shape isn't important, we want to see your work using the sketch layout ;)

There isn't a prize this week, so we're all playing along just for the love of crafting!

Here are the DT examples, I'm sure you'll agree they are all fabulous, please click on the links in the sidebar to go to their individual blogs to see how they made their cards.

Thank you, and happy crafting!

Sketch #19 - DT week

Hi and welcome to the first DT week at Sketch Saturday. My name is Gill and I am thrilled to be the first member of the DT to host the sketch challenge.

Thank you to all who took part in last weeks challenge, there were so many wonderful entries and it has been a real pleasure to visit your blogs and look at all your fabulous creations.

Also to celebrate my upcoming birthday and my first ever DT post, there is a super prize up for grabs this week. One lucky entrant will receive this fabulous stamp from Whiff of Joy which was kindly given to me as a gift for my birthday by Katharina.

As usual you can use your imagination to create a card, layout, ATC etc...so long as the sketch is clearly visible in your creation.

Take a look at the fabulous work by the gorgeously talented Design Team and don't forget to check out their individual blogs for more details.....thankyou to all my fellow DT and especially to Jo for all your support.
