Sketch #9 - 26th July

WOW! haven't you all made fabulous cards using last weeks sketch!!!
I've loved seeing your creations, how each of you have interpreted the sketch. Thank you so much for taking part xx

I'm sure you have loved looking at everyone elses work too! ;)

Here is sketch #9....

and here is my card, I used this sketch to make a card for my friends birthday (Crissi... happy birthday Crissi! xx), its ok, I haven't spoilt the surprise, she has received the card already as it was her birthday on Wednesday.

I have used Rusty Pickle backing paper, and assorted plain papers to compliment it as well as complimenting the elephant too, I added a texture to a couple of the papers by using a paisley embossing folder, the sentiment is from my stash, and the image is yet another from my Crafters Companion CD.

I'm looking forward to seeing your take on the sketch this week!

Sketch #8 - 19th July

Hello everyone! Thank you so much for taking part last week, I love looking at your beautiful cards each week.

On to sketch #8...

..and here is my example, I have used my new crafters companion cd again to print out the backing paper and the topper, the greeting is a rub on, I hand made the waterlily from coloured paper and curled the edges, in hindsight I should have coloured the edges of the waterlily a little more to give it a bit of depth and reality, oh well, I think it still works anyway. The tiny butterfly gems are from a RAK given to me by my friend Ali, thanks Ali xx

Sketch #7 - 12th July (14th July)

Hi everyone :)
So sorry for the delay in posting this weeks sketch, my modem died last thursday evening and I've had to wait until this morning for Virgin Media to bring a new one.
Thank you for showing us all your fab cards last week, I think last weeks sketch was a huge hit with many of you ;)

Here is this weeks sketch, hope you like this one too...

And here is my card...
I have used my new Crafters Companion 'Boys n Girls' CD rom to print out the backing paper and the topper, the circular greeting is a stamps away happy birthday stamp, except I have added another circle to the centre of it and wrote the number 1 in the centre.

Sketch #6 - 5th July

Thank you for showcasing your beautiful work using last weeks sketch, and it was lovely to see more of you taking part, I really appreciate it! Thank you xx

Here is this weeks sketch... #6

and here is my card, the stamp was bought from Ebid, where I bought a set of 6 different teddy images, for £5.99 (including postage), what a bargain eh?
The paper was in my stash and doesn't have a brand on the back of it, but I think it was free with a magazine. I used a dovecraft ribbon heart border punch along the edges of the paper.
